Nashville Country Dancers
Holding Weekly Contra & English Country Dances
The Nashville Country Dancers is a nonprofit organization dedicated to dancing the traditional dances
of the United States (Appalachian squares and circles, New England contras and couple dances) and
couple dances like waltzes.

Volunteer run,
the group sponsors
weekly English and
Contra dances and
two weekend long
events -- a Playford
English Country
Dance Ball in the
Spring (the more
refined dance
ancestor of
contra dancing)
and a Contra
Dance weekend
in the Fall. All
dances are taught
and accompanied
by live music. These dances are accessible to people of all ages and ideally suited for bringing the
community together. No partner is required.
